Rocky Acres Goat Ranch Goal has always been to use large population genetics to breed for the best meat goat possible. A versitile and hardy animal that displays good mothering abilities, raises a large percentage of her body weight every year for the commercial breeder.
In attaining our goal we are taken advantage and using some of the best genetics of all breeds. Our Herdsire's that we will be using are:
- ODIN, The highest gaining South African Fullblood Boer Buck on the San-angelo feed test -2005
- TWO-TIMEN LOVERBOY, A solid red 100% kiko, double-bred buck out of LOVERBOY.
- COAL, A solid Black buck out of NICK, The longest Kiko buck I have ever seen.
- BIG BOY, One of the largest most exciting Kiko bucks alive today. Goldmine son and a Goliath grandson.

One question that everbody seems to ask us here at "ROCKY ACRES" is why did we settle on The KIKO goat as our main focus For our breeding animal, and to tell the truth.
We have found on our farm that:
- The Kiko has proven to be more parasite resistant than any other breed of goat we've raised.
- The Kiko has less hoof problems.
- The Kiko doe has little to no kidding problems. If you only were to Go through one kidding season with the Kiko doe you would be hooked for life.
- The Kiko kid is remarkably vigorous at birth and have a rapid growth rate.
- The Kiko is an aggressive browser and will flourish with minimum supplemental feeding.
- The Kiko is a very aggressive non-seasonal breeder.
- The Kiko is indeed a "low maintance meat goat".
